Vocation Programs - Updated 10/6/20

Dear Inquirers,

In response to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID) outbreak, I want to assure you that the Benedictine Sisters are committed to the safety of our community members, employees, volunteers, and guests.

For 2020, our community is placing a special emphasis on the value of prayer, which includes praying for the containment of COVID throughout our community and around the world.

In addition to praying for those infected with the virus and the medical personnel caring for the sick, the monastery is taking action to contain the spread of the virus. As a result, the Vocations office is taking the following steps:

    • We have added a Virtual Discernment Retreat which is available on our website
    • Virtual Meet Our Sisters Tour, Nov 2nd – 6th, to learn more click HERE
    • A Day of Discernment for Young Women sponsored by DAVA (Dubuque Area Vocation Association) Nov. 7, 2020, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Register by Nov. 1, 2020, HERE!
    • Virtual Benedictine Discernment Evenings, Wednesdays from Nov. 25-Dec. 23. 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Click Here to Register

If you are interested in the virtual Discernment Retreat, please click HERE to participate.

We are also working on other virtual discernment retreats and prayer experiences, so return to our website for current program offerings. I am also available to talk by phone or Zoom at your convenience.

In closing, please consider joining me and the St. Mary Monastery community in praying the Memorare at 5:30 PM each evening for containment of the Coronavirus and the care of all who are affected.

Stay safe and healthy.

Blessings,

Sr. Stefanie MacDonald
