Coming up this summer, Benet House Retreat Center will be hosting an excellent opportunity to deepen your faith with three and five day Silent Directed Retreats. You will spend time in contemplative silence and receive guidance from a spiritual director.
Both retreats begin Sunday, July 7th at 4:00 PM. The three-day retreat ends July 10th at 4:00 PM and the five-day retreat ends July 12th at 4:00 PM.
As part of the retreat, you will meet daily with a certified spiritual director. Sr. Mary Schmidt, OSB; Sr. Margaret Murphy, OSB; Sr. Jackie Walsh, OSB; and Abbot Philip Davey, OSB; will all be available to meet. You may also enjoy the quiet beauty of the fields, woods, and pond that surround St. Mary’s Monastery, pray in our beautiful chapel, and share silent meals with other retreatants.
A Silent Directed Retreat is a rare opportunity to disconnect from the outside world. Use the quiet to focus on your faith, and to listen for God’s voice and guidance. With the help of a spiritual director, you will reflect on what is needed to continue your spiritual growth. You might try reflecting in nature, meditating on scripture, or simply coming to terms with God’s presence in the stillness and silence of our lives.
