When the Benedictine Sisters of Our Lady of Peace Monastery, Columbia, Missouri closed their monastery in 2010, the Sisters each had to discern where to go. After much prayer and discernment, Sister Maggie (Magdalene) chose to transfer to our community.
Becoming a member of a larger community – Our Lady of Peace had just 7 members when it closed – has been good for me. Having a diversity of ages and more Sisters to share ideas with provides a broader and richer perspective. My prayer life has been enriched as well!
