Midway through Lent, our resolutions become somewhat frayed at the edges.
Now is the time to renew the promises we made at Lent’s beginning.
As I stopped to reflect on my own resolution “to be aware of a particular encounter with beauty each day,” I was filled with praise and gratitude for God’s gifts:
* The smile of a woman – gentle, genuine, full of peace – at home with herself.
* A hawk circling high, wings spread, floating on the wind, looking for lunch. God’s way of preserving a balance in nature.
* A man who shared his resolve to notice a young person who seemed lost, and to do something about it.
* The beauty of silence during our community Holy Hour for the most vulnerable. The silence was so profound and powerful it filled the chapel and spilled out into the world.
It is not too late to renew your Lenten resolution and begin again!

Read your thoughts about resolution midway thru Lent. Some great ideas. I enlarged the photo and I think you spotted a bald eagle. Really white head---hawks usually darker brown. Say hello to Sisters Mary Jane and Sheila-old dear friends. Hope all is well at the Convent????
