Pope Francis published his apostolic exhortaion Gaudete et Exsultate in 2018. Click here to download it.
It’s a personal call to holiness, filled with the kind of inspiration that can get people to move. In fact, my book group, Wisdom Seekers, decided to move into a study of it!
And I decided to share it online, with you. The entire document is easy to access and read. I recommend you read it slowly, though, because it brims with spiritual insight and gentle encouragement. It’s worth savoring.
Over the next few weeks, we will discuss each chapter and think about ways we can take steps to grow in our own holiness. I will add the discussions below, as we go.
Consider how a call to holiness fits in with all that is going on in the country right now, politically, environmentally, internationally.
Consider how you are called to holiness.
What does it mean to you?
Part 1: Living an Ordinary Life Extraordinarily Well
Part 2: The Subtle Enemies of Holiness
Part 3: The Beatitudes as Our "Christian Identity Card"
Part 4: Mercy, Compassion
Part 5: Signs of Holiness
Part 6: Vigilant, Combat-Ready & Discerning

Hi Cate, The Wisdom Seekers meet at a Quad-City parish every Wednesday. Email me at seflans1@gmail.com for more information. If you're not local, then it will be a "virtual" book club for you. Just follow along as we add new posts here every week!
